1. Introduction

CityPulse LLC ("CityPulse," "we," "our," or "us") operates the CityPulse mobile application, website, business portal, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). CityPulse helps people discover local events, deals, specials, venues, and local experiences, and helps businesses create, manage, and promote business and event listings.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to users and businesses. By using the Service, you acknowledge that CityPulse processes information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

- Account information, such as name, email address, login credentials, account type, and optional profile settings.

- Business profile and application information, such as business name, business type, address, contact email, optional phone number, website, social links, descriptions, logos, banners, menus, verification details, and other information submitted through a business account or business application.

- Event and listing data, such as event title, venue, date, time, description, age gate, price or price text, ticket links, tags, categories, images, recurring-event settings, promotion selections, and other listing details.

- User preferences and activity that you choose or create, such as saved events, notification preferences, selected interests, selected discovery location, search and filter activity, and other in-app preferences.

- Communications with CityPulse, including support requests, business onboarding messages, feedback, account deletion requests, reports, and other messages you send to us.

2.2 Location Information

CityPulse is a location-based service. We may collect or process location information, including approximate location, precise device location if you grant permission, manually selected cities or neighborhoods, and business or event location data such as addresses, latitude/longitude coordinates, and distance calculations.

You can control device location permissions through your device settings. If you disable location access, some features, including nearby recommendations, distance filters, and location-based discovery, may not work as intended. You may still be able to use manually selected locations where available.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

- Device, log, and diagnostic information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, approximate city or region, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and similar technical data.

- Usage and analytics information, such as app opens, pages viewed, events viewed, business profiles viewed, searches, filters used, saved events, shares, menu clicks, ticket-link clicks, website clicks, promotion views, promotion clicks, business application submissions, and similar engagement events.

- Push notification information, once enabled, such as notification preferences, notification permission status, delivery status, and interactions with notifications.

2.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from service providers and third-party services used to operate or improve CityPulse, such as authentication, hosting, database, storage, maps, geocoding, places, ratings, review information, analytics, crash reporting, email, notification, payment, app store, and support providers.

We may also receive business, venue, event, or listing information from businesses, venues, event organizers, public sources, or other third-party sources.

3. How We Use Information

- Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

- Create and manage consumer accounts, business accounts, business applications, business profiles, event listings, promotions, and administrative workflows.

- Display events, business profiles, menus, specials, promoted listings, maps, distance information, search results, filters, and other app or website content.

- Personalize discovery based on location, selected interests, saved events, preferences, searches, filters, and app activity.

- Send service-related messages, account notices, support responses, business account notices, event reminders, saved-event alerts, interest-based recommendations, and push notifications when permitted.

- Measure performance and engagement, including event views, saves, shares, business profile visits, promotion views, clicks, and related analytics.

- Provide businesses with aggregate-only analytics about their listings, profiles, promotions, and engagement.

- Detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, spam, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, policy violations, and violations of our Terms of Service.

- Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect the rights, safety, and property of CityPulse, users, businesses, and the public.

4. Business Analytics and User Privacy

CityPulse may provide businesses with analytics about how their business profiles, events, links, menus, promotions, or other listings perform. These analytics are intended to be aggregate-only, such as total views, saves, shares, clicks, promotion views, promotion clicks, and profile visits.

CityPulse does not show businesses the individual identities of users who view, save, share, click, or visit a business profile or event listing, unless a user separately chooses to contact that business, purchase tickets, make a reservation, follow an external link, or otherwise provide information directly to the business or a third-party service.

Businesses should not use CityPulse analytics to attempt to identify individual users.

5. How We Share Information

- With service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, database, storage, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, communications, maps, geocoding, payment, app store, and customer support providers.

- With businesses and event organizers in aggregate or de-identified form, such as event views, business profile views, saved-event totals, share totals, promotion performance, and click totals.

- With other users or the public when a user or business submits content intended for public display, such as event listings, business descriptions, images, menus, links, age restrictions, price text, and promotional content.

- With app stores, payment processors, platform providers, and other transaction-related providers when necessary for app distribution, paid promotions, subscriptions, purchases, or other transactions.

- For legal, safety, and compliance reasons, including responding to lawful requests, protecting against harm, investigating misuse, enforcing agreements, or protecting CityPulse, users, businesses, and others.

- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.

- We do not sell users' personal information for money. If future advertising, analytics, or data-sharing practices create additional legal opt-out rights, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide required choices.

6. Business Listings, Public Content, and Third-Party Reviews

Business and event information submitted to CityPulse may be visible to users and the public. This may include business names, addresses, descriptions, images, menus, event details, links, age restrictions, price text, and promotions. Businesses should not submit private, confidential, or sensitive information in public listing fields.

CityPulse may display third-party ratings or review information, such as Google ratings, if integrated. Those ratings and reviews are controlled by the third-party provider and are subject to that provider's policies.

7. Push Notifications and Communications

If you enable notifications, CityPulse may send event reminders, saved-event alerts, interest-based recommendations, local discovery suggestions, account notices, business account notices, and service updates. You can disable push notifications through your device settings or, where available, through in-app settings.

Even if you opt out of promotional notifications, we may still send necessary service-related communications by email or in-app message, such as account, security, support, or transaction-related notices.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and web-based services may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies to operate the Service, keep users signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud, and understand usage. You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect functionality.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, operate business and administrative features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, maintain security, and keep appropriate business records. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the reason we collected it, and applicable legal or operational requirements.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account unless we need to retain certain information for legitimate business, legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or compliance purposes. Public business or event content may remain available if it is associated with an active business listing, event listing, legal record, or another account, unless removal is required by law or approved by CityPulse.

10. Your Choices and Rights

- Account access and updates: You may be able to update certain account or profile information in the app.

- Location controls: You can manage device location permissions through your device settings.

- Discovery location: Where available, you may choose a city, neighborhood, or planning location manually.

- Notifications: You can manage push notification permissions through your device settings and any in-app notification settings we provide.

- Marketing emails: You may opt out of marketing emails by using an unsubscribe link, where available, or by contacting us.

- Data requests: You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal information, subject to verification and legal exceptions.

- Account deletion: You may request deletion of your CityPulse account by using the in-app deletion flow when available or by contacting support@getcitypulseapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a deletion request.

11. State and Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state, federal, or international privacy laws. These rights may include the right to access, delete, correct, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and the right to opt out of certain uses or sharing of personal information where applicable.

CityPulse is initially focused on the United States. If privacy laws apply to CityPulse that require additional notices or choices, we will honor applicable rights and update this Privacy Policy as needed.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children and Minors

CityPulse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

Some events may be restricted to users who are 18+ or 21+. Users and businesses are responsible for complying with applicable age restrictions, venue rules, and laws.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, menus, reservation systems, maps, social media pages, payment processors, or other services. CityPulse is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, accuracy, availability, or security of third-party services. Review the applicable third-party policies before using them.

If you interact with a business, purchase tickets, make a reservation, visit a third-party website, or otherwise provide information outside CityPulse, that information is handled by the business or third-party service according to its own policies.

15. International Users

If you use CityPulse from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law, such as by updating the effective date, posting notice in the app or on the website, or sending a communication.
